Getting the Green House ready for spring-hoping to get a head start on strawberries and veggies this year!

March 2010 is here already-time just keeps flying by!
Getting ready for spring time-and for baby chicks again this year. It was a beautiful day today and I a working on building a new coop this year~last year our chicken did a bit to much pecking and scratching to my yard than I liked; this year they will have a escape proof coop!

Not easy putting in T-posts when the grounds still frozen=)

My son is pointing out to everyone that he found a worm, and not just any worm he explains, its "a good worm!"

Turned our compost yesterday, and we have beautiful MULCH!

Lupins are starting to come back already, cant wait to enjoy their beautiful purple flowers this summer.

10 below 0 for three days-a tad to cold for me! Brrrr! Chilly start to December 2009.

Fall is here! (2009) We bag our leaves-but instead of throwing them away after no longer wanting "jack-o-lanterns" we just open them up and dump them into our compost pile=)

Who could have asked for a better helper!? You see, hard work can be FUN!

Rain Rain Rain-I like the rain...although-this freezing rain...well....The draining system does it job though-as long as were not having an unbelievable violent down pour my rock bed seems to catch most of the water from gutters before it has a chance to overflow and flood the walkway.

And on those cold days you really cant beat staying warm inside and hanging with your friends!

It's October 4th! Just a BIT to early for me for snow! Brr! Glad we went out and shook the wet snow off our huge lilacs; all the trees and bushes still had their leaves on them & the early heavy snow weighed trees sown all over town...I'm sure had we not shaken off the snow when we did they would have snapped...As did so many trees all over town.
